Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai
Mumbai, the city of dreams & glamor, was once upon a time Bombay - where life was much gentler, subdued and was slowly approaching the end of an age of innocence....

"Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai" paints the picture of seventies in Mumbai delightfully with astounding attention to details in every aspect- whether it be the impeccable, smart white wardrobe wore by Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan) or Mumtaz's (Prachi Desai) adorable polka dotted dress.

The number of movies based on the lives of Mumbai's most infamous gangsters are too many, but each of them tell the story in their own special way. Once upon a time in Mumbaai succeeds in keeping the audience engaged with its stylish recreation of the seventies, interesting storyline, witty & almost philosophical dialogues.

Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan), a Smuggler, rises to the top from the slums of Mumbai by becoming the unparalleled baadshah and expertly bringing in smuggled goods through different sea routes. But, Sultan has been portrayed as a thief with a conscience, who does not succumb to greed and stays faithful to his conscience by sticking to his pre-set rules & principles.

In contradiction to his character is Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi), the son of a honest Police officer, whose fascination with Sultan Mirza makes him join the famous smuggler's group. But Shoaib has no end to his greed with a burning, endless desire to rise to the top which cannot be achieved by Sultan's low-scale crimes & anti-social activities. In an attempt to achieve the impossible and conquer the city, Shoaib resorts to mean, hardcore crime. This starts an age of violence and corruption which starts eating up the city slowly..

Find out what happens when these two gangsters realize the differences in their thinking, style of work and ambitions..

Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai have performed well as the love interests of the gangsters. The music score is brilliant with lovely compositions like "Peeloon"...

The verdict is that "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai" succeeds in an admirable way for taking the viewer back to the yester years and for being a Good entertainer.
