Vaagai Sooda Vaa Movie Review
The Tamil movie 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' has been released and got appreciated by many moviegoers. The movie has been written and directed by Sargaunam and produced by S. Muruganandham under the banner of Sun Pictures. Vaagai Sooda Vaa stars Vimal, Iniya, K. Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan in the lead roles.

Vaagai Sooda Vaa is the story based on a remote village in Kandeduthan kadu, (Pudukottai). The movie takes you back into the retro year (1960's) and gives a flashback of old Madras. In a nutshell, Veluthambi (Vimal) has just completed his studies and aspires to become a government teacher. Whereas, his father Annamalai (Bhagyaraj) advises him to go Kandeduthan kadu village serve as a teacher. Later in the movie, Vimal gets hired by a social service organization to educate the children about the evils of child labour, who are unlucky to go to school.

Children in the remote village are opposed their right to education and insist to work in brick-kiln as daily labour. Velu faces a challenged task to make the children to realize the importance of education. In the process, Velu meets Madhi (Iniya) and falls in love and also faces many problems by the village landlord to stop the awareness about education.

Finally, Velu get huge support from the villagers to fight against the landlord. The rest of the movie revolves around Velu's ambition and what happens to the villagers leads to the climax.

Music scored by debutant music director M. Ghibran has already received a positive feedback. Especially the songs 'Sengal Soolakkaara' and 'Saaraj Kaathuthu' are the highlight songs for the movie.

Over all the movie seems to be a good message oriented with all commercial elements. Cinematography adds strength to the movie story and Omprakash's lens has captured the dry lands of Kandeduthankadu at its best.
