Thakita Thakita

The movie starts of with an intro and narration by Nagarjuna, which is supposed to be the surprise-surprise package of this film. With the extreme marketing and promotion of this movie, it has raised the expectations high and raised curiosity amongst the younger generation.
Thakita Thakita is all about eight college going guys and girls - Nandini, Kishore, Mahesh, Scud, Bhakti, Jessica, Chandana and Sridhar, who have various desires, ambitions and goals in their life... First half of the movie is cramped with introducing all the characters and their career plans, interests & so on...
Nandini and Kishore love each other a lot, but Nandini's parents are totally against their love. On the other side, Scud and Kishore have not spoken to each other for a long span of five years. Jessica is the phirang girl who is totally into fashion designing and is flamboyant. With already a love couple in the movie, there is another love story brewing where Sridhar loves Chandana but never expresses it.
Amongst this hotch-potch of innocent love and friendship, they finish their college exams and are ready to step into a world of opportunities, expectations and careers...
Chandana excels in her role with natural acting skills, graceful dance moves and the ability to adapt the role completely. Harshavardhan, who played the role of Sridhar, is full of life and vigor and looks promising as a successful actor in the near future.
The highlights of the movie lie in its music score and cinematography. With breezy numbers and a feel-good atmosphere, the movie is pleasant enough for the eyes and ears. But at places the movie feels like an uneven patch work of many tracks running parallel to each other along with serious issues stuffed in, which distracts the audience...
Overall, it is a fair attempt at making yet another youth-oriented cinema but it sadly misses the mark...
