Natesan's Antiqarts

As I was on my discovering spree, one 17th century Granite Horse sculpture caught my fancy. It was an original piece belonging to the Nayak dynasty of Madurai. It was carved at a time when horse statutes were very popular. I was about to let the whole feeling sink in when another statue of Lord Brahma dating back to 11th century baffled me. It belonged to the famous Chola dynasty and was well preserved over here. Most of the pieces available at this shop are very durable and hardy and so need minimum maintenance. Many metal artefacts of Hindu Gods and Goddesses too can be found here in bronze base. Jewellery boxes or Dowry boxes as they call them are available here in wood. These boxes are given a shape of a house because they are gifted to a bride at her wedding when she's about to step into a new house. Antiques at this high profiled retail shop are simply amazing. Be it furniture, temple carvings or genuine pieces of art, this specialist masters them all.
