Origami Restaurant - Shushed By The Sushi

If you are a sushi freak and are seeking authentic Japanese food in Mumbai, then the Origami is where you should go! Located in Atria Mall, Worli, it is one of the finest sushi restaurants of the city. Try not to get fooled by its 'Mall' location as this exotic, place offers a lot more than you can possibly imagine. The name of this restaurant has been taken from traditional Japanese paper art. In recent times this restaurant's popularity has been making waves across the city. They not only serve you with Japanese food but also Thai, Malay and Indonesian cuisine. The glowing sushi bar here showcases all kinds of delicious seafood imported all the way from Japan. The interiors have been simplistically designed with brown dominating the colour palate. Japanese lanterns, rimmed glass panels and wooden furniture all recreate the Zen like environment akin to Japanese culture.

Visiting Origami and not having sushi is like having a burger without the bun; incomplete. So recently, when I went there, I ordered it along with the assorted seafood platter which regulars totally swear by. The Seaweed was amazing, something that was absolutely unique and appetizing. I had it with Rice and trust me; I have one word for it - Yummy! The famous Grilled Eel Sushi, Unagi Sushi and Sashimi too were delectable. Each item is mildly cooked to retain the natural flavour of the dish. But if you aren't too fond of Sushi then you have the option of going in for the Beef Steaks. You can even add to the charm of your meal by ordering some Wine and other premium Liquors. This restaurant is a bit on the expensive side but when you are getting a good 'rare' deal then money shouldn't really be the criteria. This outstanding place can accommodate around 50 people and keeps buzzing with food connoisseurs.
