Rainforest Restaurant - A Tropical Gateway

Get a taste of vibrant Africa in India! Some time back when I visited Mumbai's theme based restaurant, Rainforest, I was transported into a whole new tropical world. With its dazzling interiors and unusual concept, this place exhibited a mystifying element. This stylistically designed Restro-Bar attracted my attention like no other place.

From the moment you enter in, this conceptual place elevates you to a unique world where a stylised bamboo bridge helps you cross over an artificial lake below. The Monkeys, Crocodiles, and Anacondas are so well done that one can mistake them for the real thing. The restaurant has dimly lit interiors and dense thick plants and trees. The wooden benches and creepers lend the place a very interesting feel and almost call out to the child within you. The cool ambience of this place is soothing and surreal. On the menu are Chicken Nachos, Prawns fried in Pesto sauce, Pot Rice, Balsamic Chicken with Mozzarella and Fried Chilly Mozzarella with Herbs; highly appetising, to say the least. Quirky cocktails like the Secret Forest, Smirnoff with Coconut water, Shanghai Sunset and Caiproiska were potently sinful. Exciting events like 'The Wheel of Fortune', 'Free Fireshot' and 'All-day Happy Hours' are regularly held to attract visitors.

The service here was prompt and warm though due to heavy crowd you will find some people complaining about it. An interesting feature of this place is that one can call the waiters by simply pressing a switch on the table. The moment a red light glows the waiter responds. This animated restaurant welcomes its guests with great enthusiasm and should be definitely explored for a drink or two.
