Four men have stumbled on a man riding a motorcycle on a busy street in Coimbatore and killed him as scores of people watched in a state of shock. The brutal act in the broad daylight on Sunday was recorded on close circuit television camera located at a traffic junction in the city.

The recorded tape shows two men standing on the road and intentionally coming into the direction of a motorcyclist who lost the balance and fell on the road. Within seconds, two more people came towards the motorcyclists and attacked the victim. One of the attackers stabbed the victim while the other hit the motorcyclist on head with a heavy rock.

S Nijamuddin, the deputy commissioner of police, Coimbatore, has expressed his unhappiness towards the onlookers as none of them intervened to stop the ghastly murder. "The people there should have tried to stop (the killers)," the officer said.

The deputy commissioner also stated that there were many people on the road and none of them haven't said anything but watched the ruthless act. "It is a sorry to the state that none came forward to help the boy (who died)."

He stated that it was only when the police arrived the incident spot, an ambulance was called and the victim was rushed to a hospital. Sadly, the boy was already dead by then. The police informed that the victim and the murderers apparently had a clash at a wine shop and this has led to such a gory act.
