Office Friendly Fitness Tips
With a rise in sedentary lifestyle and more time being spent in office tightly glued to the work station, overall fitness has taken a backseat. The result is for all to see. Rising downfall in fitness level, health issues and problems with weight management are some of the side effects.

But it is possible to stay fit while working because recent studies have shown that smaller amount of exercise all throughout the day have created the same result as that of one long workout. All you need to do is just be creative and make the most of any opportunity that comes your way to exercise. Here are some tips to begin with:

Take the stairs wherever possible instead of waiting for the elevator to move around.

Instead of calling or emailing your colleagues, it is best to take the time to walk down and visit them.

Make it a point to walk around your building after lunch and during the day for a break.

Sitting for too long can stiffen the muscles. Whenever possible take the time off to stretch your arms, back and legs.

The circulation in your legs can slow down if they are unused under a desk all day. Do some leg lifts while seated to keep your blood flowing.

Get a headset for your cell phone so that you can move around while you talk.

Set an alarm to go off every hour to remind you to stand up and move around.

Stay away from snacks and other junk food during break time or when you have the sudden hunger pangs. Rather opt for healthier options like Almonds, Pistachios and Walnuts. Other advantage is that they are easy to store as well.

So go ahead and embrace these healthier options in your lifestyle to keep healthy and wise. And experience the real wealth of life which is nothing but good health.
