The 7th Sense is about the super machine that bought to India. Sources say that Suriya is playing three different roles - a Buddhist monk, a circus artist and a scientist.
The Buddhist character is much associated to the history and tradition. The Buddhist monk is said to be a Tamil (Pallave) prince-turned-monk named 'Bodhidharma', who is credited with the establishment of 'Zen' in the world. In the 14th century, the Tamil prince from Kancheepuram traveled to China and became a well-respected monk there.
The director said that "Bodhidharma is a martial arts exponent from Kanchipuram. People are still worshiping Bodhidharma in China. In order to give life to the role, Suriya underwent strenuous workouts to get his six packs."
AR Murugadoss said that they had done lot of research on 'Bodhidharma' prior to the start of the film. The role was intense and required lot of practice and Suriya has done a great job in the role.
7th Sense has been produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and distributed by Red Giant Movies. The movie is slated for release on October 26, 2011. Sources say that the 7th Sense is the most expensive movie in Suriya's film career till date. Recently the audio has been lavishly launched and music scored by Harris Jayaraj.
